N.K. Bagrodia Public School Dwarka, embarked on an athletic journey for celebration of its sports day ‘Crescendo’ with zeal, passion of sportsmanship, determination, and perseverance. The event was held on 31st December 2024 in a befitting and newly refurbished sports arena in the school.
The event began on an auspicious note with lighting of the ceremonial lamp. It was graced by the Director of Physical Education, NSUT Main Campus, New Delhi, Dr. Praveen Saroha, who was the chief guest for the occasion. Along with him the event was also graced by a galaxy of luminaries including Shri KK Dhanuka ji, founder trustee of N.K. Bagrodia Education Society, Smt. Satyabhama Dhanuka ji, Shri Dinesh Kumar Gupta ji trustee of N.K. Bagrodia Education Society along with Smt. Manju Gupta ji, Shri R.K. Paul manager of N.K. Bagrodia Public School Sec-4 Dwarka, Shri P. Kumar member of managing committee, Dr. Rajee N. Kumar Director of N.K. Bagrodia group of schools along with Colonel B.N. Kumar, Mr. Prashant Parasher, the principal of N.K. Bagrodia Public School Rohini, Ms. Jayshree Navani, the principal of N.K. Bagrodia Global School and Ms. Satinder Kaur, the academic coordinator of N.K. Bagrodia Group of schools. The gathering was addressed by Dr. Rajee N. Kumar, Director of N.K. Bagrodia Group of Schools. The highlight of her address was in bringing forth the strides made by the school to reach its present position as one of the leading and acclaimed Schools of Delhi. This was followed by the presentation of the Annual report of the School by the Principal, Ms Anjali Kharbanda.
The culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and unwavering passion bore fruit as the young athletes and performers showcased their talents through various sports and cultural events. These included, the March past by the school prefectorial board and the four Houses Aryabhata, Siddhartha, Valmiki and Vivekanand. It was an eclectic presentation rooted in discipline, synchronization, and teamwork. The much-coveted Best House title of 2024-25 was awarded to Vivekananda house recognizing the outstanding teamwork, collaboration, and collective achievement of students in various inter-house cultural, literary and sports activities.
The other events were निर्विकल्प योग – An expression of serenity, शुभ्रांजक – Embracing the vibrant hues of life and spreading magic in the air, Melange of rhythm – A combination of placard, dumbbell drill, lezim and Sports display including judo, taekwondo, basketball, fencing, hockey, skipping rope and yoga.
Celebrating the competitive spirit of sports, live track events including 100m race, 200m race and relay race took place where students showcased their athletic prowess and bagged first, second and third positions. The variety of events showcased the diverse talents of participants, and the friendly competition fostered a spirit of unity and camaraderie. The sports events also brought to the forefront the quantum qualitative enhancement brought about by the newly upgraded sports arena and highlighted the Institution’s involvement in wholesome development of the students.
The school magazine “Oasis” was released with much fanfare and enthusiasm by the dignitaries. The school felicitated the students of class X and XII in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the CBSE examinations 2024 which was a result of their diligence, dedication, and single-minded devotion in achieving academic excellence. The school honored the young “Einsteins” who cleared the Mukhya Mantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha with flying colours. The academic trailblazers of SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) were adorned with a Blazer and given a huge round of applause by the gathering. Further the best performer in Visual and Performing Arts, Ms Jiya Dandu, exceptional Literary Talent and Creativity achiever, Ms Mannat Kaur Tuli, Best Sportspersons of the School, Ms Charvi & Master Shantanu, All Rounder of the Session, Ms Gursimar Kaur were felicitated by the Director of N K Bagrodia Group of Schools and applauded by the audience.
This year’s Sports Day was a resounding success, bringing together students, teachers, and parents for a day filled with excitement, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
