N K Bagrodia Public School, Sec-4 Dwarka hosted the much-awaited Sports
Meet ‘Crescendo’-A Jubilation of Sports’ fervour on 3 rd Dec 2022 with great
ardour and zeal. The Chief Guest of this grand event was Mr. Mandeep
Jangra, the Arjun awardee boxer who was accompanied by his coach,
Chotto Loura, a World Class boxer. Other prominent dignitaries who graced
the occasion included the Chairman of the school, Mr. Raghav Bagrodia, the
founder trustee of the school Shri K K Dhanuka, the trustee of the school ,
Shri Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Special guest, Mrs. Manju Gupta, the Director of
the school Dr.(Mrs.) Rajee N Kumar, Mr. Prashant Parasher, Principal N K
Bagrodia Public School Rohini, Mrs. Jayshree Nawani, Principal N K
Bagrodia Global School, Mrs. Satinder Kaur Singh, Academic Incharge and
the parents of the meritorious students as the special invitees.
The Day’s proceedings commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial
lamp followed by the welcome of all the dignitaries. The Head of School, Ms.
Anjali Kharbanda, felicitated the Chief Guest with a token of regard and
extended a warm welcome to all the revered guests. Thereafter, the HOS
addressed the gathering with her welcome speech and highlighted the
accomplishments of the school. The Chief guest also expressed his thoughts
and motivated the students to participate in sports. He elaborated upon the
importance of sports and extracurricular activities in the lives of students
as they embark on their path to holistic development. Later, the Director of
the school also delivered her words of wisdom on the occasion and
appreciated the joy and efforts showcased by the students and the teachers.
A riveting march past by the zealous students of the four Houses –
Aryabhatta, Siddhartha, Valmiki and Vivekananda marching with
synchronized steps, showcasing bold-hued attire marked the
commencement of the event. The electrifying march past was followed by
the oath taking ceremony and the lighting of the torch displaying the
commitment of the true spirit of sportsmanship . The torch bearers were
the National level athletes of the school who brought laurels to school by
their outstanding performances in various sports.
A scintillating display of yoga asanas by the students spread a true divine
message with the reverberation of ‘OM’. The audience got an insight into
the benefits of yoga on body and mind. The programme turned out to be
more stirring by the live track event i.e. Inter-house Relay race of Boys and
Girls. The athletes’ nail-biting performance on the track left everyone
stunned. The gathered audience cheered as the participants displayed
immense fervour and gusto.
The Prize distribution ceremony included the felicitations and honouring
the meritorious achievers of class X and XII Board Examinations 2021-22
and the top scorers of Scholastic Aptitude Talent exams. The much-awaited
segment of the prize distribution ceremony was felicitating the winners of
the Inter-house Relay Race. In Boys’ category the first position was bagged
by Valmiki House, second position was won by Siddhartha House and the
third position was secured by Vivekananda House. In Girls’ category,
Valmiki House stood at the first position followed by Aryabhatta House at
second and Siddhartha House at third positions respectively. The Best
March Past trophy was conferred to Aryabhatta House for demonstrating
the spell binding cavalcade on drum beats. The Sportsperson award was
given to Amar Tomar and Vaapi Shokeen, the National level fencers for
their excellent performances in sports. The entire alfresco once again
buzzed with the cheerful plaudits for the All Rounder of the year awardee,
Shataakshi Saraswat. She was felicitated for her best performance both in
Scholastic and CO-scholastics domains.
The resplendent rendition of the drill exhibiting the rhythmic exercises and
the Finale dance performance on melodious tune of ‘Kar Har Maidan Fateh’
left the gathering electrified and awe-struck. The event came to an end with
the Vote of thanks proposed by the Secondary Wing Incharge Ms. Manju
Gupta who expressed her gratitude to all the invited guests.
The very act of celebrating the sports’ fervour instilled in the students a
strong sense of sportsmanship. The event culminated with the NationalAnthem.
